Hey there, I´m Amanda

I’m a national board certified health and wellness coach (NBC-HWC), a yoga instructor and sound healer. I specialize in helping people live a more healthy, balanced, and purposeful life.

I draw on my work as a PhD-level health behavior researcher and professor to offer evidence-based services that allow for creativity, exploration and fun. Working towards a better life doesn’t have to feel like ‘work’. A healthier life can be rooted in warm discussion, mindful movement, music and fun.

Health & Wellness Coaching

Contrary to what you may think, health and wellness coaching isn’t about a pushy coach selling you supplements and forcing green smoothies down your throat. As defined by the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching (NBC-HWC), coaching is an evidence-based process that is client-centered and intended to help clients reconnect with their core values, define long- and short-term goals, and make small, sustainable changes towards those goals. 

I do 1-on-1 and group coaching for individuals and corporations with a focus on discovering your true desires and crafting a life that aligns with your strengths and values.

Wellness Seminars

I offer wellness seminars on health topics, such as the benefits of mindfulness and meditation, healthy behaviors, principles of health coaching and more.

With over a decade of experience in academia and research, I can tailor my presentations to various audiences, from academics to government personnel to more general groups. Seminars can be constructed as more or less interactive depending on your needs.

Yoga Instruction

Yoga can increase flexibility, strength and balance. However, many of its greatest benefits are in helping people manage stress, reconnect with their breath, and feel more grounded and connected in their body.

I regularly teach yoga classes and workshops within the Triangle area of North Carolina and also do private yoga instruction or group classes for corporations.

Experience deep relaxation & clarity

Sound Healing

Sound healing involves the use of various instruments shown to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation. Benefits can include deeper sleep, pain relief, looser muscles, and a greater sense of awareness and creativity.

I do group sound bath meditations at studios or private facilities throughout North Carolina and beyond as well as 1-on-1 sound healing sessions.
